We use drum samples to enhance our live drum sound. Watch this video for an introduction into why we do this.

Your drum samples are hosted on one of the following modules and the manual is linked:

Roland SPD-SX : Manual

Roland SPD-SX Pro : Manual

2-Box DrumIt Five Mark II : Manual

Your drum triggers will need replaced when the foam loses its elasticity, approximately once a year or so. If your triggers begin to respond erratically or inconsistently it might be time, but first we should troubleshoot to find any other problems.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Have you powered the drum module off and back on?
  2. Are the triggers mounted correctly onto the rim of the drum?
  3. Are the triggers wired correctly into the drum module?
  4. Is the drum module receiving input from the triggers?
  5. Can you hear the samples through the headphone output of the drum module?
  6. Is the correct “drum kit” or “preset” selected on the module, usually titled “TP Kit”?
  7. Is the correct “trigger type” selected in the module that matches the model of the trigger on your drum?
  8. Are the gain, threshold and velocity curve settings dialed in for your drummers?
  9. Is the module’s output routing correct externally?
  10. Is the module’s output routing correct internally?
